The Naorem Birahari College was established on 8th February 1986 with financial support from the local public, particularly from Naorem Birahari Singh who was designated as the founder donor of the College. With the moral and physical support of the larger public, the college was established to impart higher education to the students who are coming from economically and educationally backward areas of the state, particularly to the local inhabitants who are deprived from higher and technical studies due to poor socio-economic conditions.
