Our Department seeks to provide the highest standard of education through ongoing reviews, development of our educational research, outreach programmes and create academic and professional geoscientists with capable of societal requirements.

MISSION

• Make the Department of Geology, the primary location for Earth and Environmental sciences research in Manipur.
• Prepare students for careers in academic research and teaching as well as for professional roles in corporations and government.
  

OBJECTIVES

• Learn, design and perform experiments in the labs to demonstrate the concepts, principles and theories learned in the classrooms.
• Develop the ability to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom and laboratories to specific problems in theoretical and applied Geology.
• To emphasize the importance of Geology as the most important discipline for sustaining the existing industries and establishing new ones to create job opportunities at all levels of employment.
